About the event
The American Road & Transportation Builders Association represents firms and organizations involved in transportation infrastructure. Its National Convention is a gathering for members and industry leaders, within a broader program of advocacy, policy, workforce, safety, and technology work. ARTBA also provides information on transportation funding and policy and maintains industry resources. The convention is relevant to engineering firms that serve highway, bridge, public transportation, and other transportation infrastructure clients.
Why owners send people
Firm owners can use the convention to understand policy and funding issues that shape public transportation projects and to meet potential clients and partners. Discussions with industry and agency leaders can inform business development plans. Staff may also gain perspective on safety, construction, technology, workforce, and regulatory topics relevant to transportation work. The event can support recruiting by giving firms exposure to professionals and organizations focused on transportation infrastructure careers.
Tip: Send a business development lead alongside a technical leader who can translate policy discussions into project implications.
