Leadership transition

A leadership transition is the change from one person or group responsible for leading the firm to another. It can happen alongside or separately from a change in ownership. Effective transitions often involve knowledge transfer, communication, client relationships, delegated authority, and clarity about the incoming leader's responsibilities.

Why it matters for owners

A planned transition can reduce disruption to project teams and client relationships.
