A contract vehicle awarded to more than one firm for similar services or work. The buyer may later compete task orders among awardees or use another ordering method specified in the contract. An award establishes eligibility under the vehicle, but does not necessarily promise a minimum amount of work.
Why it matters for owners
Firms should distinguish the value of contract access from likely utilization and the cost of maintaining eligibility.
