Seismic hazard

Seismic hazard describes the potential for earthquake-related ground motion or effects at a location. Hazard information is interpreted with site conditions, building characteristics, and applicable codes to establish project design criteria. It does not by itself predict whether a particular structure will be damaged. Site-specific evaluation may require additional professional analysis.

Why it matters for owners

Location and site inputs can affect scope and schedule. Early coordination can identify the studies and expertise a project requires.
