Change Control

A process for reviewing, approving, recording, and communicating changes to a project's scope, schedule, budget, or requirements. The process should identify who has authority and what supporting information is needed. Contract amendments may also be required before changed services are performed.

Why it matters for owners

Change control reduces confusion and helps the firm maintain alignment between project plans and client authorization.
