Firm Authorization

A registration, certificate, or other approval that a jurisdiction may require before an engineering business offers or performs regulated services. Requirements vary and can include a designated professional in responsible charge. A firm's registration does not replace individual licenses or project-specific approvals.

Why it matters for owners

Expansion into a new jurisdiction may require firm level steps before marketing or contracting for services.
