Request for Qualifications (RFQ)

A procurement document asking firms to describe relevant qualifications, experience, staff, and approach. An RFQ may be used to shortlist teams or select a professional services provider. The term can mean different things across sectors, so the solicitation should be read for submission requirements, evaluation criteria, and next steps.

Why it matters for owners

A pursuit decision should account for the actual scoring criteria and the effort required to respond.
