Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ)

A contract vehicle that sets general terms for future work orders over a stated period, often without committing the buyer to a fixed quantity of work. Agencies issue task or delivery orders as needs arise. The contract and procurement rules determine ordering procedures, competition, ceilings, and obligations.

Why it matters for owners

Winning an IDIQ can create access to opportunities, but it does not guarantee revenue or task orders.
